The reaction from Albedo is because Ainz does everything (changing his name included) for his friends, but Albedo only cares about Momonga. I think that Albedo wants a more selfish Momonga, not an Ainz that cares so much his friends, because she thinks that only Momonga stayed until the end, so he is the truly leader of Nazarick.

Actually a bit simpler than that.

If you recall, Ainz changed her NPC settings at the very start of the story to "love Momonga". He then changed his name and heraldry to Ainz Ooal Gown, but her NPC setting still explicitly dictates that she loves "Momonga". If you match the half obscured heraldry at the end of this chapter with the ones shown in Ch 1, you'll see which one matches.

It isn't mentioned nor expanded upon afterwards in either the light novel or web novel.

She also resents the rest of the guild Ainz Ooal Gown for leaving Momonga alone. In a novel chapter that came with one of the manga volumes (i.e. not spoilers here) she you see her tear down the Ainz banner and put up that Momonga one, and she declares her hatred for the ones who abandoned Nazarick.
If anyone else from Nazarick, even her creator Tabula Smaragdina, were to have made it to the new world, she would try to kill them because she feels that after they abandoned the guild, only Ainz deserves to rule Nazarick.

Also to clear some info up, she is not only acting that way because ainz edited her at the end of the game.

She/and most of the guardians are bitterly resenting the other supreme beings for leaving. Although they still revere them as their respective creator they have a bit of a resentment for the loneliness they experience when they are gone and for leaving ainz alone. You can tell this from their meeting after ainz describe the world as a jewel(when he first flew at the beginning), they were talking about how to keep him, the last supreme being, and make sure he has a heir to continue the line. It is the reason of their existence to serve and protect that "noble" beings. This is also sporadically mentioned throughout the little conversations of everyone in nazaric when ainz is not there. Mostly about how they were abandoned and how ainz is the only who cared for them.

Man this shit is lagging behind the anime so much i'm almost tempted to go watch it.

@relic626 it may be ahead but the anime lacks the punch and the feel of overlord. it focuses too much on the fan service and fight scenes but cares little for making us care for the characters. FOR EXAMPLE the last awesome bit of albedo in this chapter is not in the anime nether is any other character dedicated scenes.

@nono3 really?? i don't recall it being there. i guess watching and reading the novel and manga got me confused. still though i believe the anime is doing a poor job when it comes to the character arcs.

EDIT: i just checked and no it's not in there or to be precise heavily changed. instead of her looking at momonga flag and saying her lines. the anime deletes momnga's flag and having her look at ainz flag and saying ''this is ridiculous''. which give a vary wrong message and view on albedo's character.

@MrSpoon that last part of Albedo is in the Anime episode 10. and there is Momonga flag in her background while Ainz flag in the floor.

@shyevsa it's the flag part, but not the words "Ahh, When will I be able to hear that wonderfull name again?". When I first saw it in the anime ("I still don't understand, Ainz Ooal Gown, Worthless", and not the part of the name), I even thought that she may betray Ainz.

So, yes, it's better here than in the anime, or at least, more complete, less confussing.

honestly after I watch that part in the anime, it took me few search to know which flag is which .

never gets boring when Renner's true face is involved. seems a bit more toned down here than in the anime tho; that one went full yandere

@Wolvenworks If I read this chapter correctly she's not really supposed to be yandere. More like a completely uncaring sociopath since she's been this way before she ever met Climb. Kinda like what Ainz is turning into with all his emotions being suppressed.
