Man, the novel and even the anime are so much better than the manga. They leave too much out in this adaptation

To me the art of the manga has one little flaw that bugs me, it isn't even a flaw only from this artist only, the movements when fighting is too rigid and repetitive.

Maybe is because i have some years already reading manga and the like but i notice a trend when artists want to draw their battle scenes, the movements are always the same i will not claim that i to know a lot about Japanese sword fighting styles but from what a know there is some amazing concepts of movements and the mangakas don't use all this diversity but don't get me wrong the same problem with artist of many styles not only on mangas.

What do you guys think of it?

@Cheshiremoose They didn't skip, Sebas just 1hko all of them at the beginning of the chapter.

It's so funny reading overconfident villain dialog in this manga then they get 1 hit lol.

@alacaelum this’s a general weakness in adaptation. When the author and the artist are the same person or work together drawing the fight scenes becomes much much easier. I don’t believe this’s the case here though which leads to the artist being vary restricted in drawing the fight scenes, he’ll only be able to put as much detail in the art as the novel gives him.
which’s not much in overlord.

@XellosPY anime?? How does the anime have more content when sebas had 70%(not accurate) of his dialogue cut out in his own arc?!

The manga while like the anime jumped Albedo’s sisters, gives the full experience of the parts they do keep in which served sebas GREATLY unlike the anime.

@Darthodin hmm seeing how weekly released mangas are 15-20 pages(based on jump) and overlord is 35-45 pages then we’ll be getting 15 more pages each month if the manga had a weekly release so not that much faster. Other then that the obvious deference in standards in art that overlord have to achieve when compared to other mangas.

@MrSpoon When i said all that i wasn't saying that i think there should be more details to the fight, what i really wanted to say is this, look for example to their legs when they are in fighting posture their legs in many parts are straight with their torso up front to the enemy, from what i know the correct posture is knees slightly folded and showing more one of their side.

Another thing is how they hold their swords, it is always the same way there is no creativity or flexibility on their posture, i know i may be talking smack with my "knowledge" of fighting arts but look to the dynamic of the fight, not the information from what they are adapted, do you feel sense of weight or speed from those scenes?
