While the anime didn't really capitalize on Shalltear's INCREDIBLY arrogant and disrespectful behavior, and the novel did this carriage scene of her joking about disobeying orders or going to places in Nazarick that she doesn't need to, the manga helps show how she is like now as opposed to her "humble" and obedient nature she gets after having her ass kicked by Ainz not once but twice.

First was with his trash (I think) robe, pure skills, and combat tactics. Then with his cash items and Divine class gear after she was rez-ed with Peroroncino's self-rez item he gave her.
