"SCP-774-JP" because they recognized it as a "beast/monster" or some sort so it turned into a beast/monster
"Tamasaburo" because the cat named came from his owner so it retained the normal cat form before turning into a "scp"
So anyone with JP knowledge can explain the name "Fukuten-sama"?

poor kitty, he looks so sad.
so does it only have 3 forms or is there more but the foundation doesn't want to risk it taking on more forms by giving it other names?

Hmm, translation is a bit ambiguous here...

Are those the names of the three different forms, and using the names causes it to change to the form of those names?
Or is it that it changes to those specific forms if you were to use those specific names? That they just happened to come up with those names, and they happened to give it those forms?

I just searched for "Fukuten" and one listing was the name of a Japanese Troma? star (not quite porn). Makes you wonder what the "Divine Punishment" is going to be.

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3776831/

Also this needs a follow-up where they try different anime cat's names like Chomusuke.

I am starting to think that most SCP from the Japanese branch are cats.

Okay, so no one caught on. The designation of 774 is a pun. 774 can be said as Nanashi which means "nameless".
