The punchline here is a casualty of MTL. The name of the actor Shie mentions (who's been in a bunch of J-horror, not just Ju-on) should be written Yurei, not Yulei -- and if the TLers had seen that, they might've caught why it's funny. "Yurei" also means ghost.
