Sad how its the same today..... The ones who are loud, rude, and think they do nothing wrong in life do well in life. I've had the same thoughts before when I was younger in thinking why should we prevent ourselves or hide from those who cause trouble when we should punish those who do make the trouble? I agree and will always agree with Chise in how she thinks. But damn, I do dislike how much it hasn't changed much since the time this manga was made.

I had a thought but it's a bit political so I'll refrain, instead I'll talk around it. Punishment always needs to be handed out at a certain point, as the Chinese proverb goes to kill the chicken to warn the monkeys. We as people should obviously observe patience; for meting out punishments by one's own thoughts are almost never fully just, rather punishment must be enforced by the authorities properly and publicly, not dealt with behind closed doors..... (though of course subject relative to the crime committed itself)
