Kanejo is his name but it contains the Kanji for gold "金" and castle "城" usually the former is read "kin" (onyomi) but can be read as "kane" (kunyomi) especially when referring to money. Thus MTL would call him kinjo or someone who missed his first appearance where his name would be shown in furigana (hiragana above the kanji).

The kanji of his first name can be read kane or kana in Japanese and kin or kon as the adapted reading from Chinese. Kinjo is a wrong translation for Kanejo.
