One thing we gotta admit: Yota has never shown any signs of being smart throughout the whole series, and the author stays true to that trait of his. I gotta say, I laughed along with the final boss at how dumb the MC was. Like, seriously? With all those red flags screaming that the tip was a trap, and even our piggy queen warning him something was off, he still goes to face the final boss with zero backup plan in case the tip was fake? For real?

Total comedy; all he's done in between these encounters is fuck. What did he think was going to happen?

Afaik Elfen Lied didn't ever become THIS bad.
Points to the Black Coat Guy a character not so much a character than a plot device to the point that the best way to refer to him is the "Black Coat Guy" because Okamoto Lynn couldn't even be assed to give him a name.

I would argue he's gotten dumber as time went on he did essentially figure out he was in the future of earth rather than a parallel world (or rather he wasn't surprised by finding it out responding "I knew it was something like this")
It's obvious the author stopped giving a shit a while back, but this is just insane.

Thanks for the translation rigonda80
Personally I feel he gave up around Chapter 50. I think the series was going to end on a joke that paradise cost Yota and Arm and a Leg and that this series was basically subversion of the Isekai genre. However, it became super popular and he went hey.... money and continued the story by throwing in his usual tropes like Clark's 3rd law (Sufficiently advanced tech is indistinguishable from magic)

You're probably right on the money with that one, I think now he is just tired and wants to end this all.
