Y'know, I'm no weapons master, but I wonder how effective that would actually be.
First, it'd be heavier. They're women AND they have limited resources.
Second. It'd probably be harder to aim. How do I phrase it... Picture a cross +. That's where their holes are, that's how you want to attack. But if you move slightly wrong and the "lance"...uh...twists into an x, you miss all 4 hits (again, with a heavier weapon).
I mean, we have spears/lances in our world, and they were used over forks, no? You'd think piercing heart AND lungs trumps piercing ONLY heart, and yet...
Idk, there's prolly a reason, is my point.
