I bet that "clown" girl is the actual witch and "Maya" was something like a "puppet" / decoy she controlled with her "magic" (lost technology maybe).
Then the real witch pretended to be that useless "clown" while creating the image of "Maya" being "Galia".

So now that the guardians of Secondary have revealed their trap Galia could dispose of her decoy as there is no further threat to her.
The only thing left would be that she either reveals herself soon or that she (the clown girl) slips away when no one is paying attention.
