Manga is almost a quarter of a century old, and still not complete. At the rate the translations are going, it'll be another 25 or 50 years to finish.

Yep, 100% agree. I really liked Pastel until it just never went anywhere, just a constant tease of development. I don't get how people actually like those or who the intended audience is. Just like that rent-a-girlfriend one. I got 100 chapters, realized there had been zero development anywhere, and dropped it. Some manga you really only need to read the first 3 and last 3 chapters to know the whole story.
