A "jannie" is a janitor, but on the internet, it usually refers to a moderator, who generally do not get paid, hence OP's post.

"Jannie" is commonly used on a popular Mongolian throat singing message board as a way to mock/insult moderators there. I'd like to think most people realize that putting your time into helping a site you like operate smoothly isn't a negative thing though, and that the jannie memes are usually in good fun.
