This doesn't really help the root of his problem, nor does it help hers. She still isn't accepted by a new lover, and was only seen as someone sexy by a minor who also did it out of sympathy. He hasn't confronted the root of his problem and doesn't know if he'll be hard around his gf. Because he was able to do it once doesn't mean he's cured when he tries to do it again. If it was that easy that would undermine the whole manga. For me the issue is the cousin as a character felt less like a character and more like she was here just to touch the MC and be the new sexy woman in the manga.
