It's interesting how the thing they're most shocked by is the breaking of the badge. Also, MC forgot to mention the First Elder had given and instructed Nangong to consume an illegal pill when Nangong was losing. Wonder if cultivating helps to slow down ageing, otherwise the former First Elder and former Vice Leader are doomed to life sentences. Although they certainly deserve it putting their own power and interests above that of the sects along with playing fast and loose with the rules while shamelessly claiming to be upholding them. @mathiason yeh i think MC is gonna bring it up next chapter, but usually in cultivation novels, having a high cultivation extends their life, they still age but they get to live a few hundred years extra, Until they reach a point where they are really strong then they get their youth back while extending their age thats why the stronger experts either look rly old or in their 20s
