He is afraid to the point that her growth will be so much that he won't be able to protect her and others might want to come to abduct her just like the old twin masters were planning to do with the twin older brothers, but it will be more clans this time for the younger sister.

Here in the previous chapter he is telling her sto top re reading the teachings. He wants her to enjoy her time with her family and want to be able to protect her cuz she is still a child.
