Kirisame didn't want to date kuchinashi, she forced him in chapter 1 because she had info on that murder case, she forced him to marry her to cooperate, you can make a case of a 40 year old being so pathetic that a 18 years old manipulating him is weird, but that much is part of the suspension of disbelief so the manga can actually happen, Kirisame's personality traits are his dedication to his job and to justice first and his profundity stupidness second, and after they marry Kirisame still has no agency on the relationship because the same threats the "friend" is making are ones Kuchinashi herself could do if Kirisame tried to break with her.
the weirdest shit you could say is how Kirisame IS starting to like her, and even that is vague enough that you can't say if Kirisame is starting to see her as a romantic partner or just as a daughter/niece like he has been telling everyone.
