Kind of overly romanticised, considering this era was a strongly hierarchical system of feudal lords and absolute monarchs. I guess not as much has changed as we'd like, but still kind of a weird vibe at times.

The manga is set during the early middle ages, which hunts weren’t really a thing yet. Certainly the people are quite a bit more open to literal magic than they probably should be, but seeing as she’s friends with the local lord I’d say it’s realistic enough on that front

No.
14th century is late middle ages.

But you are correct that witch hunts weren’t widespread at the time of this story, instead being local persecutions at most. And being close with the local lord does protect from that.
