What the deal with Japan and Friends kissing each other ? I might not have that much friends but i'm pretty sure friends don't kiss each other all the time. Jun finally have a face, after 6 chapters of faceless hentai MC duty. I'm supossing he is worried after Nikaidou and want to ask Kurumi if she is serious about it.

I was not expecting a time skip there, but it weirdly made their relationship feel more grounded.
Also, I thought kissing was considered more intimate in Japan than in America? I feel like those mean girls are just making stuff up to be contrary.

@icekatze Well, kissing is more intimate in Japan than in Japan's weird myth-version of America ("In America, a kiss is just a greeting"--yeah, as if) but maybe not more intimate than in actual real America.
Dunno why people are so down on this guy. Well, I do know--it's because he's been faceless so people aren't thinking from his perspective. But thinking from his side, there's this girl who's like his little sister, he cares for her since forever, her parents aren't around so in some ways he's almost like her incredibly young dad, then she confessed to him and he's like "But she's my little sister (effectively)!" and then since then she's been getting self-destructive and he's been worried and picking her up when she goes and gets drunk, and now she's dating some girl he knows nothing about and it seems like maybe this one is sticking, so of course he's gonna want to talk to her. We don't know what his attitude is going to be--plenty of time to get pissed off at him if he does something bad.

We haven't really seen anything from his perspective yet, so I suspect most people are filling in the blanks with personal experience. I certainly saw crazier things than this when I was in high school.
I'm just hoping we'll get to see people mature over the course of the story.

what the hell is wrong with those friends? it's not even that they're clearly wrong, no they have a point, but why in the hell do they fucking think it's THEIR right to tell a girl something like that? much less so dismissively, as if she's not her own person who could make her own conclusions. sure, express your concerns, but the way they were talking, they were basically trying to make her mind up for her. what in the living fuck??? that's actually so messed up imo

@JohnJRenns They're acting like that because of Nika's history of nonchalantly finding new partners. It's probably their way of keeping her on the right track, like she's getting a little too wild, she's just up and switching sides now. Plus they're kids, dude. That's how kids act before they have an appropriate level of tact.
I mean they're being a bit too dismissive (friends don't really kiss and hold hands that often in Japan despite them using it as an example of normalcy) so it is kind of silly when you read it, but I'd rather them act like this than get up in arms and start getting hostile about it like you see depicted way more often.
