Bro. Stealing others' gacha character for fusion is wild. That reminds me of someone when they told me of this one eroge gacha where a certain cutscene would play when a player is defeated on PvP. Can't recall its name. Long story short, the meta of the PvP is basically assigning low-rarity male characters to combat.
I kinda understand if they are set as hostage to ransom, as most game don't let you steal 100%, just a large chunk so that you still have resources to decide to pay or fight back.
Synthesis though, how would that work with the pre-40 no pvp death? How much control does player have over the character of other player? Like I would assume Watever can't synthesize the one invading, so if someone is capture, if they resist, does that mean they can't be synthesize either?
