I do suspect it's a girl from that time they showed the Master's fingers on the phone (they looked pretty feminine to me), but being drunk on luck and your heroes' success is pretty common for both genders.
Still, I kinda wish we could keep the Knight. He seemed like a sweet dude... aside from how easily triggered he was.

It's pretty funny imagining this from "The Master's" point of view. Spending money on game character for them to get wiped, giving gifts to your MC only for him to reject it (twice at that), All your characters refusing to follow orders... A normal player would probably refuse to play the game anymore. Heck Said MC seems to be actively sabotaging their game

I kind of hope we get a chapter showing the player at some point.

I think that's been established since the first few chapters (especially during the 5th floor), he's very ruthless when it comes to pursuing his goals. But there have been inklings of him caring at least a little bit for some people he has recognised to be capable/useful, plus his child sequence makes me hesitate to label him a complete psychopath. I think he's following in the line of "ruthless badass, ends justify the means" style protags.
