About the middle school thing, I assume it's a mistranslation base what I heard and read form other people. Like other Chinese comic it should be no surprise if they're just high schoolers or in university.

They do this weird thing where they use like images of a house and just edit the characters into them for house scenes and they use poorly rendered cars for the cars too... very odd. And btw there’s literally no conflict whatsoever. The main character is charismatic, strong, handsome, always in control, and no one can beat him. Makes for a gReAT story.

@skittlesmuncher a lot of manhuas do seem to have this recurring theme lol but I really suggest you try Song of the Sky Walkers by Xia Da and her other work Song of the Long March (it’s on indefinite hiatus now because of her shitty publishing company but it’s really beautiful so I highly highly recommend it)
