that would be such a copout because it would give them getting together an excuse. "Oh, my husband is abusive, I have to leave this marriage immediately and go to you instead because I love you!" rather than "I feel pressured to stay in a loveless marriage because of society, but I'll eventually realize that's a sad way to live and leave him for you"

And she has been clear about him being a good husband. It must be something else. I would guess something about that bar. But it would be weird if she was already cheating on her husband. It doesn’t really seem to match her personality at all.

they must've been really close when they're young so them meeting again felt like a big deal.

we have been in the 'calm before the storm' sort of vibe for a while and i'm excited to see something shake it up. the bar incident and hario showing up might be signs of things coming.
