So basically, in this universe canon, "My Wife Is From a Thousand Years Ago" is a comic series...

No they are breaking the fourth wall to advertise it. That's the "meta" in blockbuster movies.
Because we saw them in the street behind them chapter 1 and after he read the manhua itself. But in "My Wife Is From a Thousand Years Ago" 's universe they don't have a manhua with their life in it...
