At first I was kinda surprised the recipe didn't use garlic, but I guess you can kind of achieve something similar with chives. Very simple vegetable stir-fries are actually quite tasty indeed. Salt, oil, and some veg are already fairly tasty, although I personally tend to add in garlic as well (sometimes ginger too) to flavor the oil a bit before frying the veg.
