so basically they made this chapter to reassure us that they do in fact manage to make up after their argument

how considerate of the authors 😂

It's a vignette, like the last one, it's supposed to be a "bonus" chapter and the author mention it happens "a significant amount of time after" the previous chapter. What kinda threw me off at first was that unlike the previous one, it's not marked as a .5 chapter ^^;

That say, Evie sure is going for that extra cherry on top the cake, uh ? :3

Edit : also, I do agree that the timing on that one is kinda odd. We were just in the middle of a fight with Evie asking for them to have a proper talk and we just jump to a bonus leading basically to make up sex. ^^; Kinda kill the tension built up last chapter, tbh...
Public make-up sex. Very VERY bold.

Nah, they seems to be back in their room when Evie drop the cake. There was an elipse pannel, Elsa changed her outfit and even the background looks different.

Also, that last pannel seems to show the academy, so this looks like it happens not that far into the future if they're still students there. ^^

Same. I feel like this is probably some kind of "spin-off" chapter, but the timing is kinda weird.

I wonder if the community in og language were getting worried and wanted some of the tension to be loosened

the facepalm I let loose when Elsa wordlessly tapped her cheek
was zero doubt in my mind that Evie would clean with her mouth

also love that she took the reward cake and effectively said "let me remind you what the title of our story is"

I’ll be frank, this chapter definitely dampens the tension that’s been building for the past couple of chapters. It would have been better if this chapter came out after the conflict was resolved. It also kind of spoils how it will ultimately go which I am not a huge fan of.

I get that this is a vignette but this side chapter could have been released at a much better time.

I will say that I'd assume we're all on the same page that, ultimately, it would all work out between them. It also hinted that this takes place a considerable amount of time after the events currently unfolding in chapter 125 - which means this could be upwards of a year after, and even with the "you begged me to forgive you/punishment" stuff, that could mean anything between current events and the Vignette's happening, and is meant as a fakeout/plausible excuse, but not canon timeline stuff.

Plus.....it could just be a way of giving a bit of extra time for the author to figure out how to navigate The Talk and make sure it feels appropriate and justified and resolved correctly, as I'm sure readers will be critical of how it goes given some of the misgivings about Elsa's getting upset in the first place.

I kinda assumed this was meant to be a stopgap to give more time for the actual meat of the coming confrontation, myself.
Plus an excuse for yuri fanservice which has been (understandably) lacking in the main story of late.

I always knew it would work out, that was never a question! I mean, the whole point of the story is Evie and Elsa finding a way to make their relationship work, even if the world itself opposes them. It would be disappointing if they didn’t somehow get back together.

I can certainly understand the want for more lovey dovey action between the two but I find it jarring that this particular vignette was placed right in the middle of a tense moment. I would be fine if we got some resolution to the current conflict first (or at least some sort of equilibrium) before that.

It’s either that or something really big and bad is about to happen and this was the best place to put this vignette since there was literally no other better place.

If there’s one thing I know for sure: it’s gonna take some weird route-esque shenanigans to break this world apart
