A big fantasy a lot of spontaneously abandoned children do initially have is that their birth parent will come back and turns out to have had a good reason for abandoning them.

The whole question of why they were abandoned can always play on the abandoned child's mind as it is a tramua.

So the deal is probably that she agrees to be appear before the Daughter to give the daughter closure and heal the tramua. He is trying to raise up the best tasting blood after all.

Zyugoya… You do great romance and 95% of the time they’re great…

But there is always, and I mean always, some really overly dark subplot or backstory tucked into a usually cozy narrative and it always changes how I see the series.

I wish it wasn’t their thing but I know after reading most of their work that they love a little tragedy, but personally I wish they would tone it down.

Just last issue we had one suicide shown and like eight panels of child abandonment and tragedy but now it’s back to Cake and fun times…

that is probably due to just how vampires can easily identify a person without seeing them (i dont think they did see the mom before smelling her blood) and ofc blood related mother and daughter so they would smell "similar" but not the same. Also dont forget what the two vampires bet was in the first place.
