Pretty much almost every Zyugoya ending summarized:

Thanks to everyone who worked to bring us this series, the author included, of course. It was a bit bittersweet but this was always how a human-vampire romance was going to end. There were even several hints along the way. Overall, it was a fun little series.

That is the essence of immortality, wonderfully done. I truly enjoyed the "welcome/goodbye" panels, seemingly ordinary, but that is exactly what they wanted. Just an ordinary cohabitation. The fact she did indeed keep BOTH rings to look back on was adorable and just sweet to include.

Ya it was expected that she would outlive Ren but at least she kept her rings & still treasures the time she spent as Ren's wife. The story was good but personally I preferred it focus on their relationship more than them dealing with underground vampires for the last quarter of the story. Regardless I will miss this manga & hope Zyugoya sensei would go back to doing their other manga in lieu of starting another one. Thanks for translating this story to completion.

To those who wonder:
A ring on your left thumb could mean multiple things. But going by context and logic I would assume that the ring is simply there to remind Sumire of her late husband Ren.
Correct, the one on her thumb is Ren's ring, which did not get buried with his remains.

At least Zyugoya skipped over the Old vs New ways war this time. Too bad we'll never know if the Dustbox became its own official country or if the Flies abandoned it to move to the new cohabitation area.
