To those who wonder:
A ring on your left thumb could mean multiple things. But going by context and logic I would assume that the ring is simply there to remind Sumire of her late husband Ren.

My guess is that the thumb ring is Ren's ring. The size difference between his ring finger and her thumb would be close.

I know their different stories (or maybe connected?!), but I imagine the reason Ren and Sumari didn't have kids is because in the other vampire story Zyugoya did, Heal and Squeeze, he says humans and vampires can't cross breed. So I'm guessing thats still true here too.

Meh, kind of expected for an ending honestly. Zyugoya got tired of it since it went for more than forty chapters so they wrapped it up with a montage that could easily have been expanded at least a little. Actually seeing their wedding would have been nice and even giving them a kid (did they ever mention if interbreeding was a thing?)

Still, bittersweet but expected.
