the only time we see her eyes after his death is on page 12... empty dead fish eyes that doesn't reflect anything along a forced smile...

Agreed that this was bittersweet and felt kind of rushed but I still enjoyed the ride.

Thank you to the translation team(s)!

To be perfectly fair, I enjoyed the first, character-focused half of the mango much more than the second, combat and adventure-focused one. I don't think these are Zyugoya's strong points, neither writing them, nor drawing. It's good that he's trying new things, but as for me, that alone dropped the manga from 8 out of 10 to 6.

No babies? You'd think they'd have five or six, given how much the two bang in the fanbox.

Pretty much almost every Zyugoya ending summarized:

I think they just don't have a good handle of falling action. They skip right from climax to end

Absolutely peak. Very happy to see that after so many years, sumire always remained faithful to ren, even after he passed. Peak literature.

I was hoping they would have had some babies. what a bitter sweet ending. :meguuusad:

Thanks for the chapters!
They said at the start that vampires can't have children with humans because their reproductive organs aren't compatible. No pregnant, Only Breed.

Good manga. Ending is just as bittersweet as expected. This was one of my favorite fluff pieces for a good while then they threw some struggle angles in there, but I'm still all about it. Even cut short this is still one of my favorites from zyugoya. Definitely recommend.

Thanks for translating this manga. It's good stuff.

I'm not getting why everyone is saying this is bittersweet.
Ren and Sumire lived a long and happy life together, succeeded in their mission to bring humans and vampires in to cohabitation and Sumire continues that. All the characters had happy endings as well.

This isn't some mixed 5cm/s "the main characters never got together but they'll never forget having their first love" bs. This is just a happy ending with some added feels.

I've come to dislike this authors endings, because it feels like he just makes new toys and forgets about his old ones.
Moreover because of the hamfisted way he often ends things.
This ending was ok, slightly bitter sweat and wholesome.
However there was just so much unnecessary action and drama, he is defiantly at his best with slice of life romance.

Thanks for the translation Danke fürs LesenBoredom Society
Yeah the final arc was a bit of mess and all over the place, but this was a solid final chapter.

Sumire's mentor during the experiment couldn't smile anymore after going through this so she wore a mask, the lumberjack antagonist had lost her first love only to try and hold together what remained of him also lost the light in her eyes. Sumire now offers the world a routine smile and a lightless gaze.

Tragic but endearing all the same.

(Only one complaint really, WHERE THE ABSOLUTE &$*# WAS THE TRAGEDY TAG?!)
