i think she's gonna end up worrying about if their dynamic will change if someone confesses, and will spend a good number of chapters waffling around about it, or seeing him about to confess and trying to change the subject.

or she tries to tease him about it in the morning, and he just pounces on the opportunity and does a proper confession, and we have them dating by the time they get home from the trip. i think both routes are possible, but the more drawn out scenario is more likely.
