For an otherwise deep, probing manga it is a shame and a disappointment for them to brush over the issue of overcoming hatred in this way.
Is it inevitable? Is it necessary? Is it ever valid? All questions the manga has toyed with up to this point, all to be hand-waved away essentially off-stage. That is not really acceptable even in an average story, and this clearly is a story with deep philosophical pretensions (which it had thus far lived up to).
Really hope it is dealt with more in the following issues.
