I binge reread this and they do make it clear in chapter 3 that equipment does make a difference along with stats. And in this chapter, they reiterated that technique does make a difference to equipment longevity and ease of defeating a specific target. I assume this would apply to humans too, when the stats don't grant effective immunity or they are relatively equal. Since the guild goons didn't put up a fight, they just ate the leader's deranged wrath.I dunno someone yelling about blood and all that should have raised some concerns at least. Also with how low level they all are, how the heck did Leader manage to take all 3 down without any issue in single attacks. We know the systems in this series work based soley on stats. I should stop thinking cause I'll enter a rabbithole of badness lol
I wouldn't put it past the leader to hog all the very best equipment for himself too. Since he showed in this chapter, and previous chapters like 2, 3, and 4 that he would straight up lie to everyone for his own benefit. Much like how he always used MC to his benefit. Nevermind the threats or straight murder.
The leader also is someone who did want to aim for the top. So it can be assumed he had some stats relative to the goons before MC hard carried his guild.
Of course, I doubt any of these things were carefully thought out, even if easily implied, before being written.
