Kinda feels fucked up that they got killed, like they acknowledged they fucked up and we're thankful to still be alive and chose to take their second chance at life and not be destructive but this dude had to be so deluded and vindictive that he took that from them.

Not that surprising or "ballsy" by the author, really.
Claude was getting increasingly unhinged and violent to the point where you wondered why he hadn't been arrested already with all the shit he pulled. All that was needed was for the author to write a reason for him to go all the way over the edge.

The other two of the Foul Four got their Mandatory Moment of Redemption, and became cannon fodder the moment they had it.
And Dorothy announcing she was going to dump him like some old trash and not expecting some kind of retaliation in the state of mind Claude was obviously in? No sense of self-preservation whatshowever...

We'll see Claude back. Only question is how he will be "enhanced" to "drive the Plot". Underground drug, Demon Pill, demonic contract, Evil God? So many options...

Man claude's party changing after the massive ego check they got really surprised me, usually in these kind of stories the og party just become more and more depraved and nuts until they find the mc again so this was refreshing . . . Right up till claude himself ruined it, bobson asking for his mom messed me up

So writing wise why bother saving the ex-party from the king if your gonna just kill them straight after and have the party leader do a repeated attempt on the MC's life. MC is actually responsible for this and should have talked to said king. I still absolutely call BS he killed that party and noone heard it happening.

They heard something happening, but Claude is a Ranter, and the Failsome Four were basically constantly arguing.
One tends to tune that kind of stuff out, especially when "butting in" will invariably make you the target of Claude's anger.. Doubly so when he's just been brought up Worse for Wear..
People learn fast... And the rest of the guild were of the stature that they really don't care as long as the drink keeps flowing.

What they reacted to was the unusual and protracted silence coming from that room... The noise of a possible fight would have been Business as Usual.

Something that happens all too often in Real Life™ as well.....

I dunno someone yelling about blood and all that should have raised some concerns at least. Also with how low level they all are, how the heck did Leader manage to take all 3 down without any issue in single attacks. We know the systems in this series work based soley on stats. I should stop thinking cause I'll enter a rabbithole of badness lol
