Technically Lance is from Johto, and Lorelei I think is from the Sevii islands though that might be considered part of Kanto.

My prediction for the next rounds are Red vs Lorelei, Green vs Blue (both of which are confirmed), Lance vs Steven (champion battle, teased in this chapter), and Agatha vs Bruno (leftover pairing but kind of teased in Bruno's backstory in 17.5). Then we get Red vs Lance (MC vs the strongest E4) and Green vs Agatha (ties to Oak).

That's kinda poetic if they go that route. Hope it'll pan out like that in the next 20 years.

well, if we go by the game storyline, it's Green who gonna beat Lance.

Green and Lance are on opposite sides of the bracket. Red will beat Lorelei, Green will beat Blue, and then they'll match up in the semifinals since that's how the bracket is laid out. Red vs. Lance is the final match. This isn't the game's storyline, after all. Unless the semifinals are determined at random, which would be absolutely shit bracket work. If that happened in a fighting have tournament the TO's would get crucified.

And in the 16 years, fairy types have been introduced. Like 80% of Dragon type effectiveness stems from looking cool. Try looking cool when you're having them fight living clotted cream. So add that to your arsenal, battle brain gang

Its a shame Blue's gonna get knocked out by Green. Seeing her Fairy types against Lance would've been cool.

It's been so long that I've forgotten why Steven is here. He looks so out of place in that lineup.

He's got aura. More trainers from other regions like Cynthia, Iris, Leon, etc would've been cool like with Skyla. But, its not really the authors fault since they started this doujin a long ass time ago.

I forget the exact matchups but I’m really hoping we get Red vs Green for the finals rather than semifinals. I could see Green vs Agatha due to the Oak connection, plus revenge for Karen, but I think I’d rather see Green vs Lance in order for Green to be brought to his highest level of arrogance & stress before his fight with Red. Meanwhile Agatha teaches Red something in their match about what Oak meant to her, and perhaps how to get through to Green. Leading to Red vs Green for the final match.
