I want a full Akira backstory now; like, are they on estradiol? They're such unusual trans rep (or at minimum gender nonconforming rep, but I feel like it's gotta be safe to say "trans" given the strong implication that they're AMAB but the also apparent fact of, y'know, boobs) but I hella vibe with it (their presentation) and really wanna know more about the character.

Who's Kei-kun again? The earlier chapters aren't available so I can't go looking. But this is a really interesting direction here! Very grounded in the financial challenges a kid faces trying to get into something, using the internet and sneaking around to figure it out. The focus is entirely on how fun it is to try and learn something new, the challenges of doing so, and the physical toll being proof of hard work. There's a lot of room to explore pole dancing as an art and a physical activity; making a sports manga like they are is how I was hoping it'd go.

It's true. I haven't read a single chapter yet. I came to the most recent chapter just to leave a comment saying that the main character is a hot little slut (as I often do) but then I read the other comment and decided otherwise.

Didn't notice in the previous chapter but the adam's apple was already there, though it's very subtle. NON draws characters very beautifully, and whatever Pole senpai/Akira's sex and gender identity are, I honestly don't mind.

Now I'm also very curious about how a man does pole dancing without, well, crushing the 'crown jewels'.

Akira-kun is very cute, I like boyishly cute characters like him! He's not trappy in the draw it a girl, call it a boy sense which is boring and stupid but he has the perfect mix of masculinity that undoubtly clocks him as male but with a little zing of femininity! Cute men are cute! I'm glad this manga is showing different perspectives and views of of pole dancing as a whole.

I think it's referring to poles that can "spin" because of a bearing mechanism in the base and ceiling.

We’ve never seen Kei or really know anything about him except that he was her crush. In case you missed it, she just moved to her mom’s old home town.
