Imo, hot both as male and female, I love Akira. And not only for their looks, that's a nice showing of maturity and responsability.

Now, I wonder if Yayano's mom will recognize them. Considering Yayano's age and the time period when she was active, I don't think so, but it'll be a nice interaction. Imagine a mom-daughter pair presentation in the future, that'd be cool.
