I really like the setting, the art, the general idea, but this chapter just wasn't good. Everything without visible substance just completely lacked weight. The worldbuilding conflicted in tone with the absurdism and killing the guard off immediately didn't even have the right place to be self-mocking humour, only reaction bait for sea slopbots above. Everything has been hollow after its immediate introduction. But the surface-side wardens are there to save the mangaka, so things surely won't stay like this. Surely it was just this chapter, right?
