Post editing/deletion?

Will users ever be allowed to edit or delete their own older comments/posts? If I prefer having only more recent ones notify me when there's a reaction, is there a way to do that? (Obviously editing/deletion would be better by virtue of having permanence, but I'll settle for such a filter.) Posting this question since I have not seen any posts addressing this topic, thanks.

Deletion is not and will not be available for users and editing is not available for posts past a certain point amount of time (I don't remember how long it is off-hand). This is all mainly for moderation's sake

I do not believe there to be an option to limit the time aspect of your question. However, you can change your preferences to notify you only when there's a reaction

If I have it correctly, I believe it's after 2 months you can no longer edit a comment as a normal user.
