No, it makes perfect sense. There's more than sufficient context to understand. This is dialogue, not a textbook, the characters should sound like people, not robots.

In response to the "Asher":
Regardless of what they say, I didn't TL it wrong. Just like I didn't TL Leonard wrong. Beyond the fact that there are different ways to translate the exact same katakana, I consciously decided to pick these names as they are much, much more natural in English.
