I suppose that the Eastern Empire will want to kill her as she is already a Vassal of the Western emperor. Unless the western prince is a shithead and wants to NTR Kian, which he looks like the type to try. Add in the possibly bi/lesbian princess from the Eastern Empire and Kian's got some knifework that needs doing.

Edit: have started re-reading the series, it seems i had it the wrong way around, with Motia bordering the Western empire.
