If abandoning everything is strength, then Eyama showed himself to be weak at the end by standing down because of the threat that he couldn't "come back anymore" (unclear if that means to the game, or to normal life). Kind of typical manga author: gives their character a "victory" while finding some excuse for why they don't actually get their hands dirty (or in this case dirtier).
