It took me a bit because I'm used to cartons and jugs for milk... But I think she used a bag of milk and opened it at the wrong end?

It's open on the right end, but if you cut it too low or pour too slowly the milk can run along the container. Since liquid follows the path of least resistance it keeps pouring down even as you tilt it more.
