He wasn't hit by the car, he just threw the suitcase at the car and then got down himself.

It's baaack! Was absolutely great seeing more of the annoyed and mad sides of Touma. A good deduction as usual, though yeah it does seem kinda far-fetched for the culprit to have gotten into position like that so quickly.

I can't help but ask why? Not being negative, just odd that a chapter would be done out of order like this. Is chapter 47 a stand alone with nothing to do with the overarching plot and thus can be skipped and then come back to?

All the chapters are standalones, there is no overarching plot.

Chapter 48 just happened to be translated first. We've done this before multiple times.

I suspect a correct person because of the author deliberately only show a silhouette of who came out from suitcase, is usually a room for a trick, and so is the lottery done by him (though turned out the lottery doesn't really matter) but simply cannot see why he would do all of this. Never thought that the theme of 'people cannot simply change their value' just mean he was actually simply had an instinct to sting people all along.
But yeah, the trick of switching where he throw all the coat, and cuff himself without being seen in that span of time is rather unbelievable.

Are you mixing this up with Conan? Before iff, there was a bit of continuity with Kana's high school life and the progression of Touma and Kana's "relationship" if you can even call it that. But nowadays there is no attempt at continuity at all, sometimes Kana is still a student, sometimes she is a young professional (originally they would always call it an internship or part time job), some chapters are literally set in a parallel universe.

If you are still reading this you are reading only for the cases. Plenty of people are holding onto Conan for the Black Org plot but there is no thread to hold onto in this series. There is nothing that needs to be resolved. Any chapter could be the ending.
