As a weird, kind of surreal fantasy story, I'm enjoying this. Although there seems to be a number of plot holes.

The queen can't tell anyone about her condition, but the hatter ought to be able to tell someone. Does no one else know about the mind controlling abilities of this rival nation? How do they not have any defense against the dark arts/have not been taken over ages ago? If the control only works at short range, why is she not taking a trip far away?

The confession "Our queen is possessed by the inhabitants of the mirror kingdom" probably needs more than one person to corroborate.
The mirror kingdom seems to make other kingdoms collapse, so there are few who survive their machinations.
Defense only develops if people survive the attacks.
If you recall, the giant mirror seemed to appear out of nowhere, there is no running away.

It's possible that there would be people who didn't believe it, but there are also a lot of people like Jack who knew her before and are aware of the sudden change in personality. They'd be already looking for a reason.
