Don't worry, the only things that'll stop me from posting are something coming up in my personal life, or a ban here lol. I just asked that because I personally felt that the quality of my questions were lacking compared to unofficial questions. Looking back, it's a bit unprofessional and immature for me to complain about such a thing, so I apologize for that.

And I thought these questions were asked by anyone who is an active member of the thread. They could take turns asking, so anyone could add new ideas 🤔

1. i dont like them at all, they should leave as they arent actually willing to absorb the culture that already exists and instead forcibly change it. If they are attempting to do that , go to a preexisting group that already has those viewpoints on the media or of the rather. Get out.

2. i think tourists are a detriment to JP media and content as some creators may feel forced due to external pressures such as the tourists and people who would just never like the work to begin with. the tourists would cause the content to fail or become worse off as perhaps some people within the japanese media end up taking what is said by them to heart. and nobody ends up liking the final result because the initial fans dislike the changes and the tourists think there isnt enough change.

3. yeah i think the forums is kinda affected by tourists. but it isnt too prevalent

From what I've seen from other manga sites that have discussion page, not really. We're pretty casual here, even the biggest complainers that don't like certain genres (ie loli) usually will get drowned out. However, I'll admit that I don't check out manwha on this site, so who knows? Maybe they all congregate there, waiting to break free onto the main site.

I have no idea. I stopped following the mainstream anime fandom a long time ago. or I never followed it in the first place
But in general my opinion is that people shouldn't treat fiction like reality.

I don't like the term 'tourist' because this is always what someone means when they use it.

There are all kinds of different people, with all kinds of different ethical/moral beliefs, in this hobby. One of the best things about it is that anyone can find likeminded fans and build a group of friends. If you don't like someone, move on. If you're being harassed, report it.

And there's no reason to shame someone for being new and not understanding something. We all started off there at some point. Be patient and welcoming to the newcomer.

On the other hand, posing as an authority when you're clearly not is dumb as hell, and a fan site like this is no place to get preachy about what you believe when it comes to politics or other divisive issues.

They're comics, bro. You read them for entertainment. Don't take them seriously.

They are an important part of the anime food chain, without the cringe Jujutsu Kaise bunnies, the anime industry would collapse.

Cause ironically, the tourists tend to actually buy the anime dvd and manga hard covers more than the "true" fans.
