Depends on the something. Sometimes I'll be doing something I enjoy and remember something embarrassing from the past related to it and I feel bizarrely ashamed. But, that can happen at any moment really, I was a dumb child.

Every person in life must have to compromise between freedom and respect in every course of action. Embarrassment is the compromise of that respect, but it's also something you do for yourself, something that makes you somewhat 'free' and 'you.'
Hence, feeling shame for something you enjoy isn't a bad thing; it's the pride of doing something for yourself.

yes. the term 'guilty pleasure' exists for a reason. there is a moral code written on all of our hearts, and shame is how it makes itself known. people generally vary from 'shameful' to 'shameless', with the latter rationalizing their actions when confronted. this is why society as a whole must dole out shame where and when it's necessary, and why a lack of 'objective morality' is dangerous as it lends itself to widespread moral degradation (or rather, makes a culture more susceptible to influences that would spread it.)
