Now that you called him a fake director, kill him or report him. Both would be good too
Thanks for the chapter
Thanks for the chapter
Could have also been a good opportunity to show that "no." is a complete sentence. Ena doesn't have to explain; none of them do.I think the worst part about this for me is how they portrayed his arguments/logic as strong in the last chapter, where you see neither Akane nor Senpai could argue against him despite that being so stupidly easy to do.
This also kinda harms the entire portrayal of the female cast because it essentially made it so they're too incompetent until Fuyumine steps up. Because of this, this entire arc can kinda be summarized into a damsel in distress story, where Fuyumine swoops in to save Ena who can't fend for herself, and later Akane who can't give a single argument.
Imagine how much different it could have been if they all ganged up together on Umeki and it culminated with Ena stepping out of her shell and giving him a proper piece of her mind. Instead Fuyumine does everything, and Ena's only input is saying no to being sexually exploited, and the rest of the cast also doesn't get to do anything but react.
And even then all Fuyumine accomplished was to say "using people bad" and then left it at that. He had so many arguments he could have used that would directly invalidate Umeki, but instead he just calls him names and tells him to grow some balls. And you're supposed to cheer him on because Umeki is portrayed as so comically evil you have no other choice (and I think that's part of why he's so evil, so there doesn't have to be much thought put into his take down, because he's so evil any take down is seen as good).
This entire arc is just really poorly written imo. For a series so focused on movies and the industry in general, it leaves so much to be desired when the characters don't properly address a director exploiting his staff/cast. I'm honestly glad this is over.
That doesn't make the plot any better. There is a reason while school clubs are under supervision, and Japan especially doesn't do the "if it doesn't happen in the school, we're not responsible and students can do as they please", as numerous and often bullshit school laws prove, for example barring students from legally working part-time or driving with license, or even playing games at arcade. Recording - especially female - school student acting nude in a movie is obviously much more dangerous for the school image.again, umeki's club was never part of a school.
for some reason people keep misunderstanding this
oh yeah, i forgot about that. but he's still a student there, right? still no reason why they can't just take his script and report him and his friends for inappropriate behavior. i suppose ena might feel bad about it, but thats really the only hurdleagain, umeki's club was never part of a school.

I think you confused Amou with Ena 😅Okay guys. I have a wild theory.
Remember in chapter 16, Ena's mom told Fuyumine something? And well the guy tried to touch her and Fuyumine immediately stopped him, what if it is related to that? Like something really bad...
