    While emotionally accepting his devotion, she contributes nothing back.

After finishing this run of re-catching up i'm dropping this shit. If they made him just a good technician who helps a competent doctor? No problem, instead HE KNEECAPS HIMSELF to support an average radiologist doctor who is entitled and emotionally unstable.

The dream of An and her father of running a "Radiation House"-- which I assume to be a radiology department with very capable radiologists and radiologist technicians-- makes An's decision to uphold the status quo make a little more sense, especially given the attitude against Iori that he may earn that we saw an example of at the start of the manga (though it would be different since he's pretty much earned the trust of his coworkers in this hospital).

However, I partially agree with you and I wish wish she gave him some more props or at least tried set-up/bolster his reputation more in the hospital so that there wouldn't be a problem if his medical license ever was revealed. Although this is a manga so you can expect Iori and An to get together at some point, Iori's single-minded devotion is unhealthy if he existed in real life and it's unfortunate that An barely reciprocated at the very least the culmination of his efforts to get where he is at the moment.

I always have problems with stories where they create IMPOSSIBLE idiots. By impossible idiots i mean counter to human psychology/sociology.
You may place a fucking dragon in our modern world and i would say ok.
But if you mingle with basic human psychology, i question you if you are a human or a lizard .

There are certain things that just catapult me out of immersion. Same as for example aviation engineer would jump out of their hat if they would see something flying that's not supposed to fly.
Human psychology on the other hand is something we touch everyday, it's fundamental's of humans that you can't remove or change if you change them you aren't making a story about humans anymore. I find humans to be very logical and in constant pursuit of convenience for themselves.

Sorry, kinda a sore spot for me, especially since mangakas and Japanese media industry as the whole is almost criminal with fiddling with human psychology. (They tend to create extreme cases, that would likely need professional psychological or even psychiatric help if encountered in real life.)
I've seen people destroy their careers, but they did it with logic in mind be it because they THOUGHT that their partners will offset the cons with pro's (illogically logical) or because lesser occupation brough more peace to them.
Iori has only illogical things. (In my opinion, maybe something will be revealed that might change my mind, but i'm not holding my breath)
