Honestly I'm just done with the author just doing stupid shit for the sake of plot twists and shock factor and Nephilim being alive is just too much for me, every chapter it feels like I'm supposed to be so shocked at this new "plot-twist" while it's all just the author pulling shit out his ass and I'm just kinda done

Wow Saix actually become a disciple with leo was unexpected for good for him. He didn't get mind broken and is just barely keeping his sanity with Leo. Nephilim still being alive is bs though. But oh well whatever.

Now time to head to the land of the "free"!

Despite how neph supposedly died after being eaten and digested and then exposed to the sun... Weren't all dragons stated to die after the "king" died?
Also wtf is the series devolving to, the amount of plot armor to some characters is getting ridiculous

I'll still read it tho cause I'm out of mangas :meguuusad:

The fuck did he recover from that sorry state?

To be honest, I think it's pointless to expect consistency from Kobayashi's stories. Ever since his debut with Sky Blue, he's specialised in flashy, brainless entertainment, which he takes to an almost sublime, essential form.

But if for no other reason than that I'm bored, I'd say Nephilim survived because of the things he was talking about with Borgius around chapter 52. While working with Crimson's Inheritance, he said he came to realise that Crimson's control of space takes him close to divinity, and that he even considered following the same path. So maybe he learned to seal his heart and become deathless like Crimson? If so, when Slime consumed his body, he just got another one, but having realised he had no means to win against Crimson, he decided to accept his defeat and escape to get revenge later.

I'm not upset that Nephilim is alive, it's neat to have him as a consistent threat across the story. But how is he alive? Don't know. Maybe because Sia was just one of thousands of Carla's, he's not dead?

Oh, you mean, how's he alive when Artemisia is dead and the king's death causes the death of the bloodline?

If I were to stretch belief like a rubber band till it's about to break, maybe it's because the bloodline of wings has two kings, Artemisia and her predecessor, Crimson.
