It's sad that the princess still doesn't understand how the world works. She should rather cherish her time with Rain than of pushing him away where she doesn't know if he's alive or alrdy dead.

This will probably result in him becoming unfettered to further his adventuring and become even more OP

@higira a chapter or 2 back the princess has a premonitions of rain dying and to try and prevent that she chose to let him go.

I'm ok with this. Princess was decisive and did what she thought was best, even if it was misguided. Rain was mature enough to both understand and accept the situation, even if he didn't necessarily agree. A more realistic potential partner decided to accompany him. The story had begun to bog down a bit, but this gives it to be opportunity to go in a new direction. I'm looking forward to what will happen next.

Edit: spelling

This is putting the princess in danger down the line. Likely when Rain will have to choose giving something up, either the princess or something of equal value.
No, this ship will never sail very far. It's a red herring. While her admiration is beautiful and her will strong, she's obviously just using Rain as a substitute for her father. Which she wholeheartedly shows here. Even if a relationship ever-so-slightly blooms, the demon inside the Princess will not allow it. She's full on Yandere.

Side note: You guys, thinking that the princess doesn't understand the world, are wrong in your assumption of her. She understands it pretty well. She probably knew he would leave, which is why she had those thoughts of, "He never said he'd stay with me." Her dream is a future that will come to pass. We're not talking about split timeline theory or anything; it WILL happen. If Rain stays, Rain dies. So she pushed him away, stripped him of the duties that bound him there, so he wouldn't die.

Yes, of course the princess knew he'd leave, because she literally told him to. But I'm having trouble following the rest of your reasoning. You say the princess understands the world. You also say that the dream will come to pass no matter what. Meaning that Rain will die whether she pushes him away or not (isn't that how these things always play out?). So how does it make sense that she both understands what she's doing and still thinks she can save him by pushing him away?

You're skewing words, friend. "If he stays he dies," that is her dream. So she pushed him away in hopes this isn't what will happen. That's all the perceived future is; he stays with her he dies. Or, for technicality's sake, he gets stabbed in the back and is lying there, maybe dead, maybe not. That's her dream, that's her premonition. So yes, she is fully aware on how it works. If you read the very next chapter, you see she had a pretty keen grasp on the situation.

She just didn't take into account Rain himself, doing Rain things. She's also pretty torn up about it.

Maybe, but that's just your interpretation of her dream. In her own opinion, her prophetic dreams always come true, and she remembers her mother specifically telling her that this particular dream will happen. There was nothing that said "if he stays he dies," it was more "he's going to die" with her assuming "it will be because of me." She's trying to remove herself from the equation, but it certainly won't work out the way she wants.

An interesting take, I can see your point in the matter. But from what we can deduce from the characters themselves, she would be more distraught over the affair, rather than how she reacts. And unless we're looking at dream mixed with future sight, I will agree. But I believe she is straight seeing a future, without the typical dream scenario. Thus, we see a ruined hall and a doorway, leading to a room where he is 'dead'. Now, this may be opinion and interpretation, but I believe it would be more likely that the death occurs in the royal castle battered by war. So, in that logic, she would want him away from there.

This also goes into the following chapter that him she realizes it being her fault that he's doing extreme Rain things. She's now worried that instead of saving him from death, she now lead him into another, one she hasn't foreseen OR MAYBE SHE HAS?!

In all honesty, he's likely just stabbed in the back and that's it. Man ripped his own arm off and was fine like 5 minutes later.

I agree with you on that. I said "he will die" but that was just how she saw it. I doubt he'll actually die, and if there's good storytelling, it won't turn out the way she thinks. She assumes he's in her castle, but
based on the next chapter, it's also possible it happens in Reygul's castle in Zarmin.
If this plays out like the typical trope, what she sees will happen because of what she did to try and avoid it.
